The Pioneer Hut
The Pioneer Hut is the original kitchen that was used back in the 1880s for the Desmond family who were the founders of the property and were amongst the first Europeans to settle in the district.
The building has been tastefully renovated to retain the historic feel of a bygone era and will give all who stay here a totally unique experience.
A rustic stone and cast iron fireplace is the centre piece of the building and will ensure you are kept warm and cosy.
With all the modern day creature comforts at your disposal and still retaining the unique old world charm you are sure to enjoy your time in this gorgeous hut.

The Elm Cabin is fully self contained and has its own completely enclosed yard in the front and rear.
The front yard is graced with an amazing 165 year old Elm tree which supplies an incredible umbrella for picnics and BBQs on those hot summer days and in winter it sheds its leaves to allow the warm snow season sun through and exposes its wonderful limbs.

Enjoy birdlife on the balcony, picnics in your private garden and wine in front of the wood fire. This holiday home has a beautiful homely feel and is warm, comfortable and loveable.

The space
Howqua House is a split-level home with 2 bedrooms sleeping between 2-6 guests comfortably. It is a beautiful home amongst the trees ideal for family and friends to enjoy.
There is a split system air-conditioner (cooling & heating) in the living area and one in each bedroom. You will be comfortable during the hotter months and able to sleep soundly each night. There is also a wood fire to keep you cosy during those cooler months whilst you enjoy your cheese platter, movies and wine in front of the fire.
The main bedroom has a queen sized bed with access to a wardrobe with hanging space for clothes. Two side tables and wall mounted dimmer lights for bedtime reading.
The second bedroom has a king single bunk bed and a double sized bed with access to a dressing table with 6 drawers.
The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you need to feel at home and relax and a table for 4 guests to enjoy your meals (extra 2 seats available if required). The living space has a large cosy couch in front of the wood fire (fire-wood supplied).
The outdoor balcony amongst the trees is generous and able to seat 8 people comfortably. It's the perfect spot to soak in the mountain views, catch a glimpse of the boats on the lake and enjoy the bird watching whilst having a hot cuppa or cool glass of wine.
The outdoor garden is private and large and includes a picnic table and outdoor mud kitchen for the kids. It's surrounded by beautiful bushes and trees including a magnificent blue box eucalyptus. It's perfect for kids to get muddy in the outdoor play kitchen; enjoy lunch on the picnic table; or have a picnic or kick the footy.

Guests will have access to the whole house and private garden.
Guests to supply own bed linen and towels. Each bed comes with pillows and pillow protectors, mattress protectors and a doona.

Lake Eildon is a water storage facility so water levels are ever changing at certain times of the year. You can see the water levels on the Goulburn Murray water website( Lake Eildon).

- Mansfield is 20 minutes by car and offers many wonderful cafes, shops and restaurants as well as Live Music, Farmers Market, Delatite Winery, Armchair Cinema, Mini Golf, festivals, Mansfield Zoo, Supermarkets, Mansfield Botanic Park and nature playground, Great Victorian Rail Trail.
- Jamieson is 10 minutes by car and boasts cafes and restaurants, Jamieson Brewery, playgrounds, Jamieson & Goulburn river swimming and kayaking and picturesque and historical self-guided walks.

Doctors Creek Retreat
Doctors Creek Retreat - Rustic retreat on the banks of the Goulburn
Relax with family and friends at Doctor's Creek Retreat on the banks of the beautiful Goulburn River.
Enough room for a large gathering, featuring 4 bedrooms, sleeping up to 9 people.
In the warmer weather, swim or float down the river via two river access points or enjoy a drink, BBQ and relax in the hammock on the spacious deck overlooking the river.
In the cooler months relax by the indoor woodfire, outdoor firepit or venture to the snow, with Mount Buller around an hour away.
The space
A homely but spacious timber cabin, that sleeps 9 people.
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and window overlooking the gardens and river. It also features an ensuite with a claw foot bath and separate shower.
The second bedroom also has a queen size bed, and a glass sliding door straight out to the balcony.
Bedroom 3 is great for kids - 2 king single beds and one single bed, with double glass doors straight out to the patio.
Bedroom 4 has two single beds.
There is a well equipped open plan living / dining / kitchen, with a wood fire.
However, the star attraction really is the surrounds. Perched on the banks of the Goulburn River, the property is nothing short of magical.
There are two entry points to the river - a swimming hole, and a shallower entry point.
A spacious deck provides the perfect place for a bbq, reading a book in the hammock, watching the rosellas, king parrots and kookaburras, or simply listening to the river flow by.
The separate fire pit area is an oasis by day - surrounded by tall trees and ferns, it's the perfect place for reading a book. After dark toast some marshmallows around the camp fire.

While there is plenty of parking, the garage is off limits to guests.
Other things to note
A Nespresso compatible coffee machine is provided - BYO pods.
There is a range of DVDs, CDs and board games to enjoy.
There is satellite TV and internet via a 4G modem. Data rate is okay, but not fantastic.
While there is Telstra coverage, if you are with another carrier expect limited / no coverage.
Note that while Jamieson has a general store that provides some basics, and a bottleshop at the pub, it does not have a supermarket. You'll need to be well prepared in bringing your own food, or grabbing some on the way from Mansfield (around 30 minutes away).

Paradise Retreat Lakehouse
Intimate for 2, comfortable for 10. The Paradise Retreat Lakehouse is situated on the banks of Lake Eildon in Jamieson. We have tried to fill the house with quality items to make your stay more homely. Great for water sports on Lake Eildon or skiing on Mt Buller which is just a short drive away. Can sleep up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms - 3 bedrooms with either king or queen beds and one bedroom with 4 singles.
The lake at the back of the property is looking wonderful with lots of water.
The space
The house has a good sized kitchen with all the utensils to you need to either make your own meals or enjoy the delights of the area. The house is equipped with 2 bathrooms and more importantly 2 toilets (on upstairs and one downstairs).
Enjoy sitting on the deck with a good book and a glass of wine. Or go to the lake with family and friends, admire the lake view, and count the stars above.
Enjoy our DVD collection and our range of music CDs. Large smart TV with many paid subscription apps services available. Free Unlimited WiFi.
A spacious living room to suit families with a lovely cosy fireplace with large comfortable couches
Enjoy cooking a BBQ overlooking the lake. The house has an Aldi-brand pod coffee machine. We supply a small number of pods for our guests. We recommend you bring extra Aldi pods if you are a coffee lover.
The upstairs bedrooms are large and have a sensational view over the lake. Enjoy the views and some incredible wildlife from our outdoor patio.
To top the evening off, enjoy our hotel-style bath robes and slippers. Sleep well in our fresh, 1000 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton 5-star resort-style bed linen. Electric blankets on all beds to make your bed nice and warm.
In three rooms, we have a reverse cycle of heating and Cooling to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer.

The house has a good sized driveway so you can get your car off the street.

The best part of our Retreat is that the lake is outside our backyard. This is why we call it Our Paradise Retreat Lakehouse.
We have the best of both worlds. Every season is a beautiful stay.
In summer, you have the best of it all, the lake outside your doorstep and beautiful walks in the area. We can keep you updated on the lake level.
In Autumn, see the beautiful colourful autumn leaves all around the region.
Winter is a short drive up to Mt Buller to enjoy a ski or a play in the snow. Our home is just 30 minutes from Mansfield which is at the base of Mt Buller.
And Spring, all the birds come out to play and sing.

The Cabin at Kevington
Set on the banks of the pristine Goulburn River, surrounded by state forest, the cabin is ideal for a romantic escape or an adventure filled getaway. You can choose to do a multitude of activities in the area or just relax by the river in summer, or by the fire in winter.
The spacious open-plan kitchen dining and living room has cathedral ceilings, a cosy wood-fired heater and fireplace made from locally sourced slate, a huge comfy couch and large dining table. Relics from the gold-mining days adorn the walls.
Music can be played on the Bose sound system using a device pre-loaded with music such as an iPod or iPhone. There is a large trunk full of games and jigsaw puzzles and plenty of books and magazines.
Floor to ceiling windows offer a lovely view across the lawn to the river and a glass door opens onto an expansive deck complete with comfy couch. A perfect spot to enjoy a morning cuppa or an afternoon drink and just enjoy the view whilst listening to birdsong and the soothing sounds of the river.
There is even a comfy 'wooden tent' which sleeps two, set down near the river which has a wall of glass at one end with river views.
Note there is no TV and no mobile reception unless you are with Telstra but there is wifi

KITCHEN
Foodie's will love the well-stocked kitchen including a walk-in pantry with a selection of teas, Vittoria coffee for the Moka, sugar and pantry essentials such as oil, vinegar, sauces, salt and pepper and spices. As well as an oven, there is a microwave, a dishwasher and an Espresso Machine, BYO beans.
LOUNGE
The open plan kitchen lounge has cathedral ceilings and a fireplace made from locally sourced slate. There is a cosy wood heater (note that firewood is not provided in summer unless in the event of unseasonal weather), a ceiling fan, a huge comfy couch, a trunk full of games and jigsaw puzzles and plenty of books and magazines.
BATHROOM
As of October 2020 the cabin has a beautiful new bathroom with walk in shower. Locally made Dindi Natural body wash, shampoo & conditioner is provided. There is a separate toilet.
BEDROOMS
There are two bedrooms one with a double bed and a ceiling fan, the second with a queen bed. Wool quilts, a range of hypo-allergenic pillows, luxurious 1000 thread count sheets, quilt covers and towels are provided. Please note, access to the second bedroom will only be available if more than two guests are booked.
WOODEN TENT
This is the third bedroom which is down by the river and sleeps 2 people. It has a comfy double mattress, BYO Linen.
OUTDOOR
There are outdoor chairs, a sun lounger, 3 hammocks, a lilo, tubes for the river, and a large outdoor dining table with market umbrella and gas BBQ/oven. There is also a a herb garden and plenty of fruit trees you can help yourself to when in season.
The quaint town of Jameson is a 10 minute drive where you will find a well stocked general store, cafe, pub, tennis court for hire, laundry facilities, the Jamieson Brewery & Grill and a berry farm.

The peace and tranquillity of Riverstone Cottage is perfect for those wanting to holiday in a secluded spot, in a unique property full of character and history. Whether you're looking for an adventure filled getaway, a romantic weekend or some quiet family time, the list of reasons to stay goes on and on.
This beautiful hand crafted stone cottage sits on the banks of the pristine Goulburn River and if the walls could talk, you would be listening for days. Originally built by hand, stone by stone and once a labour of love, it was originally inhabited by a local family within the historic gold mining region of Tunnel Bend.
You will have your own private access to the river giving you the rare opportunity to jump in directly out the front of the property, maybe after a sauna! You can kayak or drift in a tube and complete the Tunnel Bend Drift… start out the front, float around Tunnel Bend and finish up back where you started… or alternatively, go for a walk through the gold mining tunnel which spans the river bend with the entrance situated on the grounds of the cottage… so much to do or do a little as possible and relax in the tranquil and serene environment.
